Series of scientific conferences by Sylviane Muller in India (October 2022)

The Franco-Indian Center for the Promotion of Advanced Research (CEFIPRA) invited Sylviane Muller to give a series of scientific conferences in India to attract Indian students to France, to establish new partnerships between researchers and to structure institutional scientific cooperation, notably with the CNRS and the University of Strasbourg. The CNRS Office, established more than ten years ago in New Delhi, has been instrumental in identifying appropriate institutions for Sylviane Muller’s interventions in India. From October 6 to 14, 2022, she gave a series of seven lectures on autoimmune diseases in Delhi, Chennai, Vellore and Bangalore, as part of the CEFIPRA lectures series. The French Embassy in India strongly supports this type of approach based on the evolution of scientific partnerships between researchers towards institutional partnerships. The innovations implemented in Europe could be applied in the Indian context. The Indian market for innovative products in immunotherapy (cancer, inflammation, and autoimmune diseases) is of strategic interest to both countries. Sylviane Muller has been proposed as an adjunct professor at the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).
