IMS Day – a look back at the event

Welcomed at 9am by a coffee reception in the Bâtiment de la Présidence at the Université de Strasbourg, over 100 people attended the IMS Day on May 6, 2024.

This event, hosted by renowned speakers and companies in the field of scientific innovation such as Serendip Innovations and Domain Therapeutics, was an opportunity to bring together researchers, teachers and students, all passionate about the same subject: research and innovation.

Une journée scientifique mouvementée

After a delicious lunch, where everyone was able to exchange ideas, the day continued with speeches by researchers from the IMS, Recobia Therapeutics and the winners of the 2022 DDD challenge. The IMS day was also an opportunity for students of the DU Recherche et Innovation Thérapeutique (Research and Therapeutic Innovation) that we offer!

Le challenge DDD

Plunged into a real-life professional context, the DDD challenge is a work in pairs, where students identify a therapeutic need in order to build a research project around it.

Four pairs of two students then presented their projects on a variety of biotechnology-related topics to an international jury of academic and industrial researchers.

This was a major challenge, as the winners were competing for thesis funding and a dedicated budget to get their project off the ground.

We would like to congratulate the winners of this challenge on the following themes:

  • Ida STACCONI & Lucie MAZZUCOTELLI : Synthesis and MS-based analytics of the next generation of circRNA-PROTAC probes targeting RNA-binding proteins in cancer
  • Elsa BARBÉ & Sarah GRIESBAUM DUBOURG : Turn-on real time FRET-based monitoring of immune cell engagers platform

A big thank you to our partners Pierre Fabre and AXA for their support of this DDD challenge!

Congratulations again to the students for their high-quality work! The IMS 2024 day was a real success and a magnificent scientific event.
